Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai is presented in a retro chic style and is a glamorous and powerful rewind to the golden era of early 70s. It is believed that beautiful Kangana Ranaut plays an actress in the film. Her look has been designed by Manoshi Nath and Rushi Sharma.

The film set in the 70’s is a super-entertaining rewind to the era of romance, smuggling, cabaret and the mafia .A time when women had a liberated air to them and were fearless and bold. According to Kangana she is the only glamour element in the film. She plays a film actress and her character evolves through the late 1960s to the early 1970 s in this action flick. So the challenge was to look glamorous without any exposure. Apart from her look she also did some research in terms of diction to play this character.

Kangana Ranaut plays a bold and bohemian Bollywood diva called Rehana in the film. Speaking about her look her stylist Manoshi Nath says, “Kangana’s character in the film is extremely glamorous and the film is set in 70 so we had to design fashion trends in vogue in 70s while designing her look.”

Manoshi reveals that Kangana’s look changes in the film. “Kangana has a well toned body and can carry off every costume beautifully. The best part is Kangana is very professional. She has 25 hairdos in the film. We have used lot of wild colors, jewellery, hats, sunglasses, accessories. I must say Kangana is looking amazing in all her looks.”

When asked which Bollywood actress was their inspiration while designing Kangana’s look Manoshi says, “Well our reference point was all the Hollywood actress of that era. Especially a French actress called Tina Aumont”, she signs off.
