Toni Maticevski
I have been a fan of this Australian Melbourne designer for many years, and his latest collection reminded me a little (very little) of my favourite collection of his, the SS'04 collection. His best pieces were those in which he kept things simple, benefiting from a bit of restraint. The silk tulle and organza gowns in dove gray that opened the show were sweet and chic; loved the multilayered polka-dot evening dresses in silk chiffon, but turned a blind-eye to the ensembles including sequinned bra tops:
Jason Wu
Beautiful gowns at Jason Wu (the closing pieces had a touch of 'nostalgia', somehow bringing 'Gone with the Wind' to mind). I can picture SJP in the b&w 'Oscar de La Renta-ish' dress below, and loved the layered organza dresses (especially the golden deep yellow kneelength number), oh, and LOVED the funky gladiator-ish shoes!

Naeem Khan crossed his gilded, disco-ball glamour with a hint of love, sex, and rock 'n' roll:
