New love: Christina Aguilera holds on tight to new boyfriend Matthew Rutler as she arrives at a photo call for Burlesque in Paris, France


It sounds like the recipe for the perfect weekend - a weekend away with the one you love in the world's most romantic city.

But Christina Aguilera couldn't have looked more bored as she and new boyfriend Matthew Rutler were spotted in Paris yesterday.

The couple walked hand in hand into a photo call for her new film Burlesque.

Christina, 29, chose a French themed outfit for the event and was dressed in black leggings and a black and white striped top with a black cap and boots.

She had on her usual thick layer of make-up with false eyelashes and signature bright red lipstick.

Meanwhile Matthew looked casual for the outing in grey jeans and a black jumper and jacket.

When the couple got to the photo call, being held at the Crazy Horse Cabaret in Paris, Matthew disappeared while it was back to work for Christina who posed for pictures with her Burlesque co-stars Cher, Cam Gigadet and Kristen Bell.

The pair met when Matthew worked as Christina's assistant on the film which started shooting earlier this year.

After announcing her separation from and plans to divorce Jordan Bratman, her husband of five years, in November Christina began to make public appearances with her new man.

Matthew has accompanied Christina on the European press tour for the film and even celebrated her 30th birthday with her at the after party for the London première of the film this past Saturday.
