Street Style at the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Weeks - Coats
The weather here Down Under has suddenly gone warm & humid. A cold change is coming this weekend, although it won't be enough to wear a coat, which is a shame, as they are my favourite things to wear. These ladies make me want to wear coats even more:

How cute is this? The check, the frilled neck, the lace tights, the puffed sleeves, the cute buttons...

Love the volume and shape of this coat, as well as that colour...It looks so classic yet funky at the same time.

Little 'vibrant yellow' riding hood

I had to repeat this photograph, it is just too gorgeous. The movement of the camel coat (the item to wear this Fall/Autumn/Winter) is just stunning.

I just realised 3 of the 4 pics have ciggies in them! What a shame...
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Street Style at the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Weeks - Great Lengths
Along with the 'return' of wide-leg pants I am so glad to see the 'return' of longer lengths. Mini skirts are cute, but having never had the pins for them, I favour longer lengths:
Skirts
How beautiful is that pop of blue? Especially when contrasted against that glorious orange.
This is such a gorgeous skirt by Ann Demeulemeester, and the reverse print was worn by Taylor Tomasi Hill, which was featured in this post.
Sheer skirts keep the length from being too 'heavy'

Longer lengths are not just for the flowy skirts, love this pencil skirt. Isn't this such an incredible picture! Taken by Nam of Streetsfn.

Featured previously, I like the long skirt with the slouchy sweater
Dresses

Another stunning outfit featured previously, love the layers of sheer silk...and *sigh* those Burberry Prorsum boots.

Love the simplicity of these beautiful dresses above

Street Style at the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Weeks: Knits & Sweaters
Even though we are packing our knits & sweaters here in the Southern Hemisphere, I love seeing them worn in a casual elegant manner, as captured beautifully by street style photographers during the SS'11 Fashion Weeks:
Love this Stella McCartney sweater dress!
Love this oversized Rick Owens cardigan with this gorgeous Peter Pilloto bold coloured dress, and most of all - the Burberry Prorsum shearling boots I am head over heels for.
Preppy cute
Absolutely gorgeous!
Knit skirt adds texture to these cute outfits
Oversized and off-shoulder - two loves of mine
I had to repeat this outfit in this post - the fuzzy soft pink is just too delicious!

Street Style at the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Weeks - Pants
The Welcome Return of the Wide-leg Pant
Before the arrival of harem pants in my wardrobe, my most-worn style of pants was the wide-leg pant, especially in the man-style cut. It still is my favourite style of pant (if I can fit into them), and it was refreshing to see its return off the catwalk during the SS'11 Fashion Weeks:
With a casual draped tee
How perfectly cozy and fuzzy does that sweater look? Gorgeous soft pink too...
Wide-leg pant in denim, with Alexander Wang top
In camel, the current 'it' colour. Love the cut on that structured jacket.

Worn with a relaxed blazer & funky wedges.
The Track, Harem & Peg-legged/Tapered Pant:

Proenza Schouler top, 3.1 Phillip Lim pants & Chanel shoes
I absolutely adore these pants! Beautifully draped, resembling a skirt from the side-view

I still drool over Vera Wang's statement necklaces

Street Style at the Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Weeks - Nautical Stripes
I don't know what I love more: trench coats or nautical stripes (I professed my love for the latter in the early days of this blog).
Perhaps we will call it equal and leave it that, or better yet, wear them together (sort of like the girl in the 3rd picture, although the 'trench' is not actually represented as a coat); I love wearing my stripes with a white or black, or any other coloured trench coat.
Regardless, this classic was sported beautifully during the SS'11 Fashion Weeks, and I'm not speaking of it being worn on the runway:

This is my absolute favourite way to wear my nautical stripes, with a black blazer & jeans - 3 classics in one outfit = perfection!

Stripes + camel coat = love

Trench + nautical stripes = love love love!

How cool are these Chloe sneakers?!?
And toughened up by another wardrobe staple: the motorcycle leather jacket. I must admit I have never understood (i.e. not been a fan of) the pockets sticking out of micro denim shorts...
