Come home to mama - Burberry Prorsum Shearling Boots

I may have mentioned on a few occasions (here, here, here and here), but I was slightly (i.e absolutely) obsessed with these Burberry Prorsum booties since they graced the catwalks last year:

As I type, they are on a plane making its way to me. Too excited to wait for their arrival, I just had to share this with someone...

Recent Buy: Dries Van Noten Painterly Silk Semi-Wedge Pumps

I fell head over heels over Dries Van Noten's Fall/Winter 2010 collection, most of all, over his stunning painterly floral prints on silk, as previously posted here & here. I seldom buy silk shoes because they are so easy to get dirty, but I simply could not resist this pair: from my favourite print of the collection to its wedge heel that is still slim enough to look like a pump from behind, L O V E :

PS. The pictures of my shoes seem a little brighter than they are in real life...ah well, at least you can see the print!

Burberry Prorsum...major coat envy Pt 2 - and Recent Buy: Richard Nicoll

My sister E recently came to visit, and left this stunning Burberry Prorsum (that I have drooled over for years) for me to 'babysit' until she comes back next week for our cousin's wedding. My pictures fail to capture the beauty of this coat...the texture and sheen on it is amazing.

I am incredibly tempted to take it out for a spin with my Richard Nicoll silk dress I recently purchased:

except mine is in this kingfisher blue colour (oh, and the necklace is not part of the dress)...

Apologies for the lack of posts...my little one seems to be extra difficult lately due to teething (although it will probably be months until the tooth actually appears...). Any tips on how to deal with the fussiness/reduced appetite/increasing night wakenings/etc. are most welcome! I have tried teething gel & powder, baby panadol, teething toy (she doesn't take to it), cold damp towel, rubbing a clean finger on her gums, and more...*sigh*

Although I vowed a few years ago that I would not buy any more pairs of jeans in a bigger size than previously bought, I caved and bought these jeans in black and charcoal, since wearing dresses whilst nursing has not been as easy as before:

Tiffany & Co.

I have been after a pair of aviator sunglasses for quite some time, and loved these when I tried them on last year. I decided I needed them for when I go on holidays tomorrow (to Sydney & Byron Bay) for a much needed getaway, hopefully some sunshine, and to celebrate my birthday:

Recent Buy: David Szeto - and Happy Gleekend!

I know, I know...not the most practical blouse to purchase whilst nursing, but sometimes a girl just needs something pretty...and this is certainly that: the gorgeous silk charmeuse, the puffed sleeves, the camelia folded silk 'corsage' as part of the blouse...like I have said before: David Szeto is genius!

As a 'Gleek', I thought I would share some of my favourite songs from the show:

Recent Buys: Dries Van Noten, Chloe, YSL, Givenchy & Tomas Maier

In my last 'Recent Buys' post, I mentioned that I thought I would not be able/inclined to shop much once lil' Brigadeiro arrived, shame on me, I was wrong
...Whilst twiddling my thumbs waiting for her to arrive, and since then (waking up at various times in the morning to feed her - browsing the net with one hand), I have managed to 'kill some time' with one of my favourite pasttimes...

Dries Van Noten

The cut on the dress on the left is brilliant, wish I had purchased it earlier, as I was able to wear it (in my original pre-weight gain size) even on the night I went into the hospital, with a 10 month belly!

Chloe

I have searched for this Chloe silk top for many many years, love the draping & cut of the sleeves by Stella McCartney (ah, Chloe's glory days).

The silk & leather embroidered wedges by Dries Van Noten are a work of art, I wore these 2 days before I went into hospital with my Roksanda Ilincic silk black & peach/nude draped dress to my brother-in-law's wedding. I will try to take pictures of the incredibly embroidery on these to share...

Tomas Maier

It is true, trying to dress whilst 'nursing' is even harder than harder than trying to dress whilst pregnant; when I saw this jersey dress by Tomas Maier (love his work at Bottega Veneta), I loved the draping, the nude colour and its practicality:

Givenchy

I have yearned for these booties for quite some time, please excuse the many runway shots, I am keeping them here for my own reference for outfit inspiration...

Yves Saint Laurent

Eeps! More booties! I was always undecided on the YSL Tribute pumps, as I have always liked them, but wondered if they were a little too stripper-ish...I finally decided they were not:

TOV dress

Thanks to The Glamourai, I found this fabulous dress, with its beautiful draping & cut, and most importantly, front buttons (for easy 'nursing' fashion). When I saw it on her blog, I simply had to get it, I do not usually buy something after seeing it on a blog, but this was perfect for my needs...

I have not had the chance to take an outfit shot, plus Kelly is a much better model than I am:
